How it counts
The number of days is the difference between the two dates, so from Monday to the next Monday is 7 days. Some people count both the first and last day, which gives 8. Check "Include the end date" if that is what you need, for example when counting the days of a trip or an event.
The years, months and days line moves forward month by month from the first date. When the first date is the 31st and a month is shorter, the last day of that month is used, so January 31 to March 1 is 1 month and 1 day.
The order of the dates doesn't matter. If "To" is earlier than "From", you get the same number and the result says the date is in the past.
Questions
Do time zones or daylight saving change the count?
No. Only calendar dates are compared, so a day is always one day here even when the clocks change.
Is anything I enter sent anywhere?
No. The calculation runs in your browser. A copied link holds only the two dates and the checkbox.
