iNVERSE flips every letter, so "The Quick Brown Fox" becomes "tHE qUICK bROWN fOX". It is handy when you typed a whole line with caps lock on by mistake.
How Title Case is decided
Title Case here capitalizes every word except short ones such as a, an, the, and, but, or, for, of, in, on, at, to, by, up, as, with and from. Those stay lowercase unless they are the first or last word, or come right after a colon. So "a tale of two cities" becomes "A Tale of Two Cities", and "star wars: a new hope" becomes "Star Wars: A New Hope". Words already written in capitals, such as NASA or USA, are left as they are, and each part of a hyphenated word is capitalized.
Style guides disagree on the details. AP style capitalizes words of four letters or more, such as "With" and "From", while Chicago style lowercases all prepositions. If you are writing for a publication, check its rule for the few short words in your title.
Things to check after converting
Sentence case can't know names. It lowercases everything after the first letter of each sentence, so "WE ARE OPEN ON MONDAY." becomes "We are open on monday." Capitalize names, days and places yourself. Code cases drop punctuation. camelCase, snake_case and the others keep only letters and numbers, so "User ID, Number!" becomes user_id_number. They also split words written together: helloWorld becomes hello_world in snake_case.
Questions
Does it work with accents and other languages?
Yes for languages with upper and lower case, such as French, German, Spanish or Greek: "café au lait" becomes "CAFÉ AU LAIT". Scripts without capitals, such as Chinese, Japanese or Korean, stay as they are.
Can I convert a long document?
Yes. Paste as much text as you like; line breaks and spacing are kept. Use Use as input to apply a second conversion to the result, for example lowercase first and then Title Case.
Is my text stored?
No. The conversion happens in your browser and your text is not saved anywhere. Close the page and it is gone. The only thing this device keeps is that you opened the case converter, so it can appear under recently used tools on the home page.
