Alarm clock

Type a time, press Set alarm, and keep this tab open. It rings at that time with the sound you pick.

Runs in your browser. Alarms are not saved, so closing the tab cancels them.

How to use it

Type the time the way you'd say it: 7:30, 7:30 am, 0730 or 19:30. A time that has already passed today is set for tomorrow, and the alarm shows how long is left, for example "in 8 h 15 min". The quick buttons set an alarm 5, 10, 15 or 30 minutes or an hour from now. You can set up to five alarms, each with its own label and sound, and remove any of them with ×.

When an alarm goes off, the page shows its label in large type and repeats the sound for up to five minutes. Snooze rings again in five minutes; Stop ends it. On phones that support it, the alarm also vibrates.

What a browser alarm can and can't do

This alarm lives in the open tab, so it is not a replacement for your phone's built-in alarm when the time really matters, such as an early flight. Things to know:

Questions

Can I set an alarm for a specific date?

No, alarms here are for the next time that clock time comes round, within 24 hours. For a countdown to a date, use days until, and for a set length of time, the countdown timer.

Which time zone does it use?

Your device's own time zone and clock. If your device clock is wrong, the alarm will be off by the same amount.

Why did my alarm not ring?

Most often the tab was closed, the phone was locked or the device was muted. Test sound first, keep the page open and the screen on, and for anything important set a backup on your phone's clock app.
